ULURU / Ayers Rock

A few sites about ULURU / Ayer's Rock. Ayer's Rock is a huge rock formation in the middle of Australia. It has Aboriginal spiritual importance, and it's also a tourist attraction. Geologically it's the tip of one end of a great stratum that goes a long way down and around and back up again somewhere else. A commonly held belief about Ayer's Rock is that it's near to Alice Springs. It isn't. It's just that there aren't many other things nearby. It's 500Km from Alice Springs.
